"Welcome back to defense against the dark arts, seventh years. As you all should know by now, I'm Professor Branning and I teach this lesson as well as being head of Gryffindor house... and no before any of you ask again that does not mean I'm biased at all!"
"Now unto the rules as you all know, well as most of you know, some of you I'm sure still don't understand how to behave in a classroom, but most of you can conduct yourselves appropiatly. The same rules as every year apply, no talking while I'm talking, catch up on notes if you're absent, no passing notes and no fighting. Pretty basic classroom rules and I'm sure you'll all behave as this year is one of the most important years of your schooling and it'll effect your future careers!" Emily told all her seventh year students before sitting back down and survaying the class, they were mostly hard workers and she was certain they'd do well in their NEWTs.
